Happy Paddy's Day to one and all.
The plan for tomorrow is to wear something green, paint the older kids faces with shamrocks, green their hair, light up hairbands and the obligatory badge for the coat and head down to the local parade.
Afterwards we will go to the carnival, which is in town for Paddy's day, only for a little while, with the prices they charge for each ride.
Then head home for a bowl of stew.
I won't be drowning the shamrock, no, my shamrock will be completely dry as it has been for years.
In Paddy's days of the past, we went to the pub straight after the parade and stayed there for the day, drank green drinks, listen to traditional Irish music, have great craic, fall home with a half eaten bag of chips.......those were the days.
I am always proud to be Irish but on Saint Patricks Day I am so much more. It puffs out my chest the way the world acknowledges this day.
Have a good one!!
ps my cousin picked up his American wife with the line "Have you any Irish in you?, well would you like some?"

Happy St Patrick's Day!!!
I hope you had fun. I miss the parades but someone told me where to find an Irish festival this weekend. Charging up the camera and packing up the picnic as I speak. (well heading out the door to work at 6.30am really but still excited for tomorrow!)
